Continuing on with my Blair Waldorf-parelleled life, I went to the Met on Friday with some girls from the Alpha Gam Junior Circle. Topping my list of things to do list, I was glad to get to experience get another Gossip Girl spot.
The museum has a special fashion exhibit which I obviously had to see. The Met is the biggest museum I've ever been to; it would take days to really see everything they have there. We walked through Egyptian art and tombs, Grecian statues and columns, and I even spotted many works of art I learned about in Art History--glad I retained something from that nearly impossible class. My favorite part of the museum that we passed through had parlor rooms set up like how they would really be set up in the 1500s-1600s--fancy china and silverware, beautiful rugs and drapery, and elegant furniture set up in different types of rooms. It was so beautiful, it made me forget for a moment that they still didn't have indoor plumbing back then.

After the Met we went for dinner and drinks at a bar close by. You know it's going to be a good night when it starts off with the Australian bartender bringing you free shots. I absolutely loved hanging out with Alpha Gams again, and I'm really looking forward to being more active at Junior Circle events and taking on the advisor role for the chapter in Brooklyn. It's the best feeling to know that wherever I go, I will always have sisters there to hang out with. The only bump in the night was being inches away from the biggest cockroach I've ever seen, and see it crawl up from our table on the wall up to the ceiling. But that's the first cockroach I've ever seen in NYC in 8 months, so I'd say that's pretty remarkable.
